Categories of Eligible Users of the Field House

  • All students registered and in attendance at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston
  • Employees and members of their immediate families (spouses and children up to twenty-five years of age) living in the same household. Family members under 16 years of age must be accompanied by their parent or legal guardian at all times.
  • Alumni of the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston
  • Member's guests at a fee of $10 per visit. Guests must be over 18 years of age or accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.
  • Retirees of the University of Texas Medical Branch.
  • Volunteers of the University of Texas Medical Branch.
  • Members of the President's Cabinet and Development Board.

Retiree Memberships

  1. To qualify for services, participants must be a UTMB retiree
  2. We encourage you to see a physician before you start any type of exercise program.
  3. Free parking is available with a Field House Permit. The permit and a map of the available parking spaces are available at the Field house. The Permit must be displayed on your vehicle dashboard.

Volunteer Memberships

Volunteers will be eligible to join the Field House once they have met the requirements of the Volunteer Services Department and have completed 8 of active volunteer work. When these requirements are met, the volunteer may apply for membership to the Field House, available at the same rate as for employees. The Field House will verify the status of the volunteer and will receive activity reports from Volunteer Services. Remember, a volunteer must contribute monthly hours in order to remain in an active status and to maintain their Field House membership.
