General Regulations

  1. Members of the UTMB Alumni Field House and their guests will interact with respect, courtesy, and integrity towards Field House staff and other members in accordance with the UTMB Professional Agreement. Failure to adhere to these standards may result in sanctions up to and including the loss of membership privileges.
  2. Field House employees will not be responsible for the personal items and valuables of members and guests
  3. Members must have a valid Field House "scan" tag to enter the facility. Guests must present appropriate ID when entering the Field House. Children 16 and over must have picture ID. ID for younger children is not required.
  4. Members and their guests are obligated to reimburse the Field House for any damage to the building or equipment.
  5. Shirts are required in all exercise areas of the Field House with the exception of the pool/spa areas. Wet bathing suits are not allowed in any exercise area of the Field House.

  6. Non-marking shoes must be worn in the basketball, racquetball and aerobics room. Regulation tennis shoes must be worn in all exercise areas of the Field House. Wet bathing suits are not allowed in any exercise area of the Field House.
  7. Smoking is not permitted in the Field House or anywhere on the UTMB Field House premise or property.
  8. Beverages in the exercise areas and in the gym must be in a "closed" container. Food is only permitted in the pool area. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed.
  9. Glass containers are not allowed on the Field House premises. We reserve the right to check all packages and ice chests before they are brought into the Field House.
  10. Bicycles, electric scooters, strollers, and car seats are not allowed in the Field House or attached to any part of the building. Bike racks are available outside.
  11. A current member may obtain a guest pass for a visitor. The day pass is $10.00. We also offer 10 visits for $60 and 20 visits for $100; and there is a 30-day expiration period from the date of purchase for these passes. The passes can be obtained from the Field House front desk. Guest fees are not transferable; and guests must show proper ID with their guest pass.
  12. Monday through Friday between the hours of 4pm and 9pm, each member is allowed one (1) guest only. The sponsoring member must remain in the Field House at all times during their guest's visit. This rule does not apply to those on a 10- or 20-day guest pass. Members are responsible for their guest's behavior.
  13. Members and guests must check in at the Field House for tennis court/pickleball assignments and payment of guest fee. Members are reminded that the courts close at 10:45pm on Monday through Thursday, 8:45pm on Fridays, and 7:45pm on weekends and holidays. Unless courts 1-4 are filled, reservations for courts 5, 6, and 7 may only be made in the evening. Please check with the Field House for availability. Reservations may not be transferred between members without prior Field House approval. The reservation link is www.ourclublogin.com/510313
  14. Only one racquetball reservation may be made per family membership. Subsequent reservations can only be made when the original reservation has been played or cancelled. Reservations will be held 15 minutes after the hour. This does not apply to tennis court reservations. NOTE: All racquetball and squash players must wear appropriate eye guards while playing. Individuals who wear corrective eyewear may wear their glasses if the lenses are shatter-proof.
  15. Family members under 16 years of age may not at any time use any of the exercise or weight equipment. Family members 14 years of age may use the basketball, racquetball, tennis/pickleball courts and pool without their parent. Family members must be at least 10 years of age and accompanied by their parent or legal guardian to use the following areas: basketball, racquetball, tennis/pickleball courts and pool. A member parent or legal guardian must participate in the activity with the child, and at no time may any child under 14 years of age be left unattended

  16. There is a limit of two (2) children per parent member at the pool. Children’s summer swim hours (June-August) are as follows: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 6am-4pm; Wednesday, Friday, Weekend-Open. September-May-Open. Children must always be attended by their parent in the swimming pool area. Members under 16 years of age are not allowed in the hot tub.
  17. Lifeguards are not provided at the swimming pool area.
  18. Swimming devices allowed: pool or leg buoys, plastic swimming goggles, snorkels, hand paddles, kick boards (furnished by the Field House), fins (not black in color) and small swimming devices for children.
  19. Free parking is available with a Field House permit. The permits are available at the Field House. The permit must be displayed on the dashboard of your vehicle, or you will receive a ticket. A map of the parking spaces is available on the Field House website.
