Research and Teaching Assistantships
Each applicant admitted to the graduate school is considered for available assistantships. Application for appointment as a graduate assistant is made to the student's graduate program director.
There are several important stipulations to the graduate assistantship that the applicant should bear in mind:
- The applicant must posses full-time, degree-seeking status.
- Graduate Assistantships are awarded on a competitive basis. Award decisions are usually made in early Spring.
- State-funded assistantships are awarded to Ph.D. students only in programs offering the Ph.D. degree.
Graduate or medical students pursuing the study of infectious diseases or immunological research, or both, may qualify. For more information, please visit the McLaughlin Endowment website.
