Faculty members, are you due for a new headshot? The Office of the Provost will host two sessions for faculty members to drop in and take a professional headshot.

The Office of Biostatistics (OBIOS) will host an open house for the UTMB community to learn more about their office and services. OBIOS collaborates with departments and centers across UTMB to support impactful public health and clinical research.

The Office of Faculty of Affairs (OFA) and the Advancing Research through Mentorship (ARM) program will host an interactive seminar that will provide a memorable methodology to create clear and compelling PowerPoint slide decks and posters.

This session includes a review of the basics of finances in academic health and UTMB’s overall economic landscape. Mr. Bailey will cover the financial goals of each mission and how it all comes together for consolidated academic medical institutions.

We are thrilled to announce our inaugural UTMB Innovation summit. This event will bring together a dynamic community of innovators, entrepreneurs, researchers, and investors. We plan to discuss the fast-growing Biotech economy in Texas, current investment themes and opportunities and market outlook.

The MyWellbeing Department sponsors a Wellbeing Series as well as UTMB's Schwartz Rounds. The UTMB community is invited to these monthly events. Save the date for June's session.

The annual application process for election to the University of Texas Kenneth I. Shine, M.D., Academy of Health Science Education is now open. Accomplished educators in all five UTMB schools are encouraged to apply. Submissions should be directed to the Office of Faculty Affairs at facultyaffairs@utmb.edu with the subject line “Shine Academy 2025.” The internal deadline for submitting applications and supporting materials is July 12, 2025, at 5 p.m.

Afternoon Tea with Faculty Affairs Leaders is a monthly event that provides an opportunity for faculty to network and be mentored in a relaxed setting.

Join us for AMT and the Office of Educational Development’s Teaching Skills Session: Ashley Guillory, PhD, is presenting, “Advancing Neuroinclusivity in Health Professions Education.”

This in-person, six-hour, evidence-based workshop helps develop skills and insights in mentoring through interactions and discussions.
