A PERSONAL NOTE FROM DR. LE
Hey! My name is Christopher Le and I was born in El Paso, Texas but I basically grew up my entire life in Dallas-Fort worth. I consider my hometown to be Grand Prairie. I went to the University of Dallas in Irving, Texas for undergrad and graduated from TCOM in Fort Worth for medical school. My favorite hobbies are fishing, karaoke, trying new restaurants and going to the dog park with my husky named Rocky.
I was beyond overjoyed when I had learned I matched at UTMB. Out of all the programs I had interviewed with, I could tell there was something special about this program. From the professional but welcoming manner the faculty introduced themselves with to the camaraderie present between all the residents before me, I knew great things were in store for me. The island vibes of Galveston allow me to keep up with all my favorite hobbies during the toughest days of residency and allow me to maintain a balanced life which was extremely important to me.
I chose family medicine because I gain the most gratification from serving in the primary care setting. I love learning and practicing preventative medicine as I feel like it is where I have the most impact in the community. I have always dreamed of what kind of physician I would be and what program would mold me into that dream. I am so pleased that now I know.
