A PERSONAL NOTE FROM DR. CRUZ
Hi everyone! My name is Isabella Cruz, and I am truly honored and excited to be here, serving
the Galveston community. Before moving here, I lived in the Philippines, the suburbs of
Houston, and Florida - where I especially enjoyed being close to the beach with my dog, Asher.
Now, I’m thrilled to be near the water again as part of the team at UTMB.
Throughout my medical training, I had the privilege of participating in outreach trips to the
Dominican Republic and Jamaica, providing care in underserved areas. These experiences
shaped my approach to medicine, deepening my appreciation for compassionate, resourceful,
and preventive care. As a Family Medicine physician, I’m dedicated to providing holistic care
and fostering lasting relationships with my patients - whether through managing chronic
conditions, addressing acute concerns, or promoting wellness across all stages of life.
Outside of work, you will often find me exploring local coffee shops (or experimenting as a home
barista), trying out new restaurants, playing pickleball, doing Pilates, or spending quality time
with friends, family, and my dog. I look forward to getting to know you and being part of this
welcoming community.
