2025–2026 Plan Year The annual enrollment period for the 2025–2026 plan year begins Tuesday, July 15, and ends Thursday, July 31. During this period, you can make changes to your benefits elections, add or remove dependents, and enroll in a flexible spending account. Key Annual Enrollment Dates Expand All Collapse All Tuesday, July 15 – Annual enrollment begins Employees Review annual enrollment resources and current benefits elections. Log in to the My UT Benefits portal for employees by identifying UTMB as your institution and entering your UTMB username and password. Review dependent eligibility requirements and beneficiary designations. Retired Employees Review annual enrollment resources and current benefits elections. Log in to the My UT Benefits portal for retired employees by entering: Username: UTMBG (not case sensitive) + 6 digit employer ID + 00 (Example: UTMBG12345600) Password: Last name (first letter capitalized) + 4 digits of Social Security number(Example: Smith1234) Review dependent eligibility requirements and beneficiary designations. Thursday, July 31 – Deadline for making benefits elections Add, drop or waive coverage. Add or remove dependents. Enroll in UT FLEX program. Declare tobacco user or non-user status. Enroll in or make changes to voluntary retirement plan(s). Friday, Aug. 15 – Deadline for completing follow-up tasks Review benefits confirmation statement within My UT Benefits portal and save or make a copy. Upload evidence of eligibility (EOE), or dependent documents, if required. Submit evidence of insurability (EOI) if required. Monday, Sept. 1 – Benefits elections effective Expect new ID cards for newly elected coverages and/or any new plans elected. Keep ID cards for plans that did not change. Friday, Sept. 19 – Premiums deducted for biweekly paid employees Review paycheck to ensure premiums are being accurately deducted. Wednesday, Oct. 1 – Premiums deducted for monthly paid employees Review paycheck to ensure premiums are being accurately deducted. Premium Rate Changes for 2025–2026 Monthly premiums for UT SELECT medical plan for full-time employees:Employee Only coverage will remain a monthly total of $0.Employee/Spouse coverage will increase $26.88 for a monthly total of $362.82.Employee/Child(ren) coverage will increase $28.10 for a monthly total of $379.46.Employee/Family coverage will increase $52.92 for a monthly total of $714.48.Monthly premiums for UT SELECT medical plan for part-time employees: Employee Only coverage will increase $31.20 for a monthly total of $421.32.Employee/Spouse coverage will increase $74.44 for a monthly total of $1,004.98.Employee/Children coverage will increase $69.78 for a monthly total of $942.08.Employee/Family coverage will increase $111.06 for a monthly total of $1,499.28. Important Reminders As you prepare to make your benefits elections, please keep in mind:Your current benefits coverage (with the exception of UT FLEX elections) will continue for the new plan year if no action is taken during the annual enrollment period. Keep your ID cards for any plans that did not change. Expect to receive new ID cards for the UT SELECT medical plan and any new plans you elected.If you do not want to make any changes to your current benefits coverage, it is recommended that you take a few minutes to review your elections and dependents to ensure they are correct.You must enroll in the UT FLEX program each year; elections from 2024–2025 will not roll forward.You can access My UT Benefits from any web-enabled device using the Safari web browser.The recommended web browsers for accessing My UT Benefits when using a personal computer are Firefox, Google Chrome, and Microsoft Edge.
