About Institutional Effectiveness

The Office of Institutional Effectiveness supports the UTMB Academic Enterprise by:

• Facilitating institutional accreditation with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC) and encouraging ongoing compliance with SACSCOC principles of accreditation
• Coordinating ongoing assessment of educational programs and the university’s quality enhancement plan (QEP)
• Providing support for program level accreditation and discipline specific accrediting bodies
• Reporting key academic performance metrics to federal, state, and professional organizations
• Providing process expertise in the approval of new academic programs and substantial changes to existing programs
• Conducting general institutional research and data analysis
