Dear UTMB Community,
This Veterans Day, we pause to honor the extraordinary individuals who have served in our nation’s armed forces. Their sacrifices, bravery and dedication have shaped not only the history of our country but also the fabric of our everyday lives.
At UTMB, we are fortunate to have over 800 veterans among us—faculty, students, and staff—who have served with distinction. These individuals bring invaluable perspectives, a strong sense of duty and exceptional leadership to our community. They embody our values of compassion, integrity and respect, and their commitment to lifelong learning inspires us all.
Today, we extend our deepest gratitude to all veterans for their service and to the families who have supported them. Let us remember their contributions and reaffirm our commitment to support our veterans both at UTMB and in our communities.
Thank you to all who have served and continue to serve. Your sacrifices and dedication are deeply valued and profoundly respected.
Sincerely,
Dr. Jochen Reiser
