Thank You, Dr. Polk and Attendees

Thank you to everyone who joined us on October 27 for the Provost’s Lecture featuring Dr. J.D. Polk, NASA Chief Health and Medical Officer, and the ribbon-cutting celebration for UTMB’s new Department of Aerospace and Exploration Medicine.

We are grateful to Dr. Polk for his inspiring presentation, “The Road Ahead: In Space Medicine,” which explored the evolving field of aerospace medicine, the health challenges of human space exploration, and the innovations shaping its future. His insights highlighted the connections between space medicine, emerging technologies, and advances in health care on Earth. We also thank everyone who attended and helped make this a memorable occasion. Browse the photo gallery below to revisit highlights from the lecture and ribbon-cutting celebration.
