Biography
Kristina E. Ramirez, MPH, RRT, RRT-ACCS, FCCP is an Associate Professor and Director of Clinical Education in the Department of Respiratory Therapy in the School of Health Professions.
She received a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care from University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, a Master of Public Health in Community Health Practice from University of Texas at Houston School of Public Health, and a PhD in Health Sciences from UT Health San Antonio.
Her interests include adult critical care, asthma and burnout in respiratory therapists and health professions faculty. She enjoys spreading the same passion she has for the respiratory care field to her students. Her goal is to continue to develop as an educator, leader and mentor in the respiratory care community. Kristina serves in numerous capacities and leadership roles with American College of Chest Physicians (CHEST) including: member of Respiratory Care Interest Group Steering Committee, Member-at- Large for Airways Disorders Network, member of Women in CHEST Medicine Interest Group, and member of Membership Committee.
