Welcome to the Division of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery. Our vision and unified approach is to provide state-of-the-art, evidence-based, compassionate care to our patients facing cardiac, aortic, pulmonary, and esophageal surgery. Our faculty
have a wealth of experience and have distinguished themselves amongst their peers locally, regionally, and nationally. Inpatient cardiovascular surgical services are available at the Galveston and Clear Lake campuses, and thoracic surgery is performed
at the Galveston, Clear Lake, and League City campuses. We also support a specialty clinic accredited by the Marfan Foundation for patients with Marfan and related connective tissue disorders.
Areas of expertise include coronary revascularization including off-pump surgery, valve surgery including repair (both mitral & aortic valve) and TAVR with our cardiology colleagues, aortic surgery including hybrid procedures with our vascular surgery
colleagues, minimally-invasive lung & esophageal surgery including robotic procedures where appropriate, and bloodless cardiac surgery.
