The Institutional Office of Graduate Medical Education (GME) at The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) will be conducting an Annual Orientation for incoming Residents and Fellows for the 2027‐2028 Academic Year. Our next Orientation will be scheduled for June 2027 at the Frances Moody Ballroom at Moody Gardens located at 7 Hope Blvd., Galveston, TX 77554. Dates will be announced!
Our incoming residents and fellows will be arriving from all over the United States and beyond and relocating to the Galveston Island and the surrounding areas. It is here where they will decide to rent or purchase their homes, where their educational training and employment will take place, as well as where they will build and live their lives - recreational, physical, spiritual and social activities will be sought as well as the business of setting up home, office, recreational balance! To help with the needs of this exciting transition, we invite local businesses from across Galveston and surrounding counties to share their resources of what Galveston has to offer!
