The Criminal Investigations Division (C.I.D.) conducts follow-up investigations of all criminal offenses occurring within the jurisdiction of university controlled and owned property. This specialized unit examines, processes, and performs analysis on all physical evidence in criminal cases. Personnel of this division also conduct threat assessments” on behalf of the University.
Detectives of the CID Division conduct witness and subject interviews, identify and apprehend suspects, execute search and arrest warrants and prepare and present completed criminal cases to the Galveston County District Attorney's Office for screening, review and prosecution.
