The purpose of the UTMB Police Department Bicycle Patrol Division is to enhance community relations and patrol effectiveness. The priority of officers on bicycle patrol is to operate in highly populated areas of the campus. Officers on bicycle patrol focus on patrolling parking lots, structures and locations less accessible to motor vehicles.
