Hello, my name is Corporal Michael A. Peltier and I am a Crime Prevention Specialist and Bike Patrol Public Safety Officer with the UTMB Police Department. I have been with the Police Department for 6 years and have been in my current position for the
last 3 years. I am originally from Ohio where I was born and raised. After graduating High School in 1977 I enlisted in the U.S. Air Force where I was an Inventory Management Specialist and was stationed at various state side and oversea bases.
After my enlistment I attended college then took a position with the Piqua, Ohio Fire Department in 1985 where I was a Firefighter/Paramedic and rose to the rank of Assistant Chief before retiring in 2015. In 2016 my wife, Kelly and I relocated to Galveston,
Texas to be closer to our grandkids. I was hired by the UTMB Police Department in 2016 as a Public Safety Officer and have been in my current capacity since 2019. I have enjoyed working in the Crime Prevention Division and will continue to strive
to make UTMB a safe place to work, study, and visit.
On behalf of the UTMB Police Department, I want to thank you for the opportunity to be of service, and if you have questions, concerns, comments, etc. please feel free to contact me at 409-772-2691 or email me at mapeltie@utmb.edu.
