Biography
Daniel González, MSMLS, MLS(ASCP)cm SCcmPBTcm is an Assistant Professor of Instruction in the Department of Clinical Laboratory Sciences in the School of Health Professions (SHP) at the University of Texas Medical
Branch (UTMB).
Mr. González is board certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology as Phlebotomy Technician (PBT), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS), and Specialist in Chemistry (SC). His clinical experience includes 10 years of clinical laboratory
practice in Chile and the United States. He has also been a laboratory director for multidisciplinary outreach clinics in remote areas of Central America using portable laboratory equipment, and free mega clinics in the United States.
Mr. González holds an Associate of Applied Science in Chemistry Analysis from CEALA Technical College in Chile. He received his Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science (BSCLS) from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tennessee
and a Master of Science in Medical Laboratory Science (MSMLS) from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. He also received post-graduate certificates in Molecular Laboratory Diagnostics, and Immunodiagnostics & Clinical Flow Cytometry
from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan.
