Biography
Eddie Salazar, PhD, MLS(ASCP)cm is the Chair, Associate Dean for Professional Development, and a Tenured Professor in the Department of Clinical Laboratory Science in the School of Health
Professions (SHP) at the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB).
Dr. Salazar received a Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Science from the University of Texas Medical Branch, a Master of Science in Instructional Technology from the University of Houston Clear Lake, and a Doctorate in Philosophy in Characterizing
Interprofessional Education in CLS from Texas Tech University.
Dr. Salazar is a Fellow of the Association of Clinical Scientists and his scholarly interests include advanced practice in clinical laboratory sciences, faculty development, interprofessional education, educational technology, and curriculum development.
